Melrose Place is a prime-time soap opera that was shown on Fox in the United States from July 8, 1992, until May 24, 1999. The show ran for a total of seven seasons. It covers the lives of a group of young adults who live in a brownstone apartment complex on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, California, in the United States. Darren Star is responsible for the show's conception at Fox, and Aaron Spelling serves as an executive producer for the show through the production firm he founded, Spelling Television. This show is the continuation of the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise and its second installment. Following the conclusion of Beverly Hills, 90210 on Wednesday nights at 9 o'clock, the first and second seasons of this show were presented on television. The show was moved to Monday evening at 8:00 o'clock in 1994 for the start of its third season. During the life of the show, there were numerous cast members who left and were replaced. Thomas Calabro was the only member of the original cast to remain a part of the show throughout its entirety, which lasted for the entirety of its original run. This television program was recognized with multiple nominations for the Golden Globe Awards and was ranked number 51 on Entertainment Weekly's list of "New TV Classics."
