Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge

Known Me, Known You with Alan Partridge is a six-episode BBC television series, which included a Christmas special in 1995. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" was the title song for the ABBA television series, hence the show's name. Alan Partridge, the self-satisfied Norwich-based host, was played by Steve Coogan. In the radio show On the Hour, there was a character named Alan, who was a spin-off. The script for Knowing Me Knowing You was written by Coogan, Armando Iannucci, and Patrick Marber, with assistance from Doon Mackichan, Rebecca Front, and David Schneider, who portrayed Alan's regular visitors each week. As Glen Ponder, the band leader, Steve Brown provided the performance's music and orchestration, and also acted in the show. Chat shows were parodied throughout the episode. It had a live audience, which made it impossible for viewers to mistake it for a real talk show. I'm Alan Partridge ran for two seasons after Alan's marriage and TV career came to an end, and he appeared in both.
