Good Times

The American sitcom known as Good Times debuted on the CBS television network on February 8, 1974, and ran until August 1, 1979. Its final episode aired on August 1, 1979. Eric Monte and Mike Evans were the ones who came up with the idea, but Norman Lear, who is the principal executive producer of the series, was the one who developed it. The television show Good Times is a spin-off of the sitcom Maude, which in turn is a spin-off of the family sitcom All in the Family, along with The Jeffersons. The action of the series takes place in Chicago. Recording for the first two seasons took place at the CBS Television City studios in Hollywood. The show relocated to its new home in Metromedia Square in the fall of 1975, which was also the location of Norman Lear's production firm at the time.
