The Groove Tube

This hilarious anthology of live skits marks Chevy Chase's first appearance in the cinema medium. The Groove Tube, which was directed by Ken Shapiro and featured performances from Chase, Richard Belzer, and other actors, pokes fun at TV Land and the paraphernalia associated with it by parodying children's television programs. This includes everything from a Koko the Clown who smokes marijuana and lives in Make Believe Land to Safety Sam, the penis with a plan who gleefully informs the audience of the dangers of engaging in casual sex.
