Nowhere in Africa

After fleeing Nazi Germany with her daughter Regina, Jettel Redlich eventually settles on a farm outside Nairobi with her husband, Walter. Jettel struggles to accept her new circumstances at first, taking with her a set of china dishes and an evening gown as a symbol of her resistance. Regina, on the other hand, is quick to adapt to her new environment, developing a strong bond with her father's cook, an African named Owuor.
