A Woman Under the Influence

Mabel Longhetti is a desperate and lonely woman who is married to Nick, a construction worker for the City of Los Angeles. Although she is becoming increasingly unstable, particularly when in the company of others, her desire for happiness leads Nick to believe that she is a risk to his family and to put her to a mental institution for six months. While he waits for her return, he is faced with the responsibility of raising a trio of children on his own.
